I'm not sure exotic instruments is what I'm after, I could pick up the African drums that are kitpeices with XLN, but they don't interest me tonally, and having their Session Percussion give me the less exotic and more common percussion as it is. Addictive Drums is a fully featured virtual drum instrument released by Swedish company XLN Audio. I've been pondering this collection for a few years now. The 400 Euros from Sample modelling gives me Tuba, French horn (which is great with flute), Bass and tenor trombone, trumpets, cornets and flugal. After that I'm not really after other instruments sounds. The brass collection would fit my real sax and flutes really well. Being the WX5 is my main midi device, I'm suited to Sample modelling set up. I'm not someone who has ever been interested in orchestral music really.I'd rather one good Tuba, than banks of different type. Which funnily enough is the way I'd lean (and Jaga Jazzist more modern side). Gallery and Explore enable you to browse and audition the kits and kit presets you own alongside those that you dont, with a Buy now banner linking to the online store. Reading into Sample Modelling's Brass, one criticism was that it wasn't suited to orchestral set ups, unless you were going for the Gil Evans, Miles sound. Addictive Drums 2 is visually and functionally similar to XLNs Addictive Keys, with Gallery and Explore pages now complementing the established Kit, Edit, FX and Beats pages.
